Why I built it
Better photos, from the person holding the phone
My girlfriend kept telling me I never take good photos of her. It turns out a lot of people have the same problem.
What it does
One calm instruction at a time
- Recreate a reference photo with live framing and pose guidance
- One instruction at a time while you shoot
- Optional hands-free capture when the shot is ready
- Best Shot: review a burst and keep the strongest frame
- Private by design: photos, pose landmarks and edits stay on the iPhone
The hard part
Real-time pose detection
The hardest part was real-time pose detection with Apple's Vision framework, in a language I was learning the same week.
I learned Swift and iOS development while building it, and went from an empty project to an app accepted by Apple in one week.
